During the Super Bowl this year, a Bud Light ad aired criticizing other beer companies for using corn syrup in their products. Shortly after the corn industry voiced their displeasure, as it made the corn industry look bad, and they claim it was going to negatively impact their sales. Now MillerCoors has sued Anheuser-Busch, saying they are scaring people away from Miller Lite and Coors Light because of their use of corn syrup. Corn Syrup has gotten a bad reputation for allegedly causing health problems, but it’s the high fructose syrup the kind used in sodas, that is not healthy. Anheuser-Busch does actually use corn syrup in other beers, but not in the Light version of their signature Budweiser.
