It would seem that vaping is starting to be treated in the same way as cigarettes, as the Appleton City Council has voted to extend the smoking ban to include public vaping. To clarify, those who use vaporizers are allowed to do so outside, just the same as cigarette smokers, but this new law disallows the use of such devices inside places like bars, restaurants, and other public places. The change did not come without debate, as reportedly the talks became rather heated. Business owners are upset that the government is telling them what they can, and cannot allow within their own business, but lawmakers are saying the president needs to be set for young people to learn the health risks of vaping. A separate vote to exempt vape shops from the ban was less decisive, which passed by a 12-2 vote.
