A man caught in a Barron County sex sting operation worried at one point that he might get caught, but he wrote in an online message that he would “risk it.” Joshua Studer is charged with attempted second-degree sexual assault, child enticement and using a computer to facilitate a sex crime. Police say the St. Croix County man exchanged pictures and messages with an undercover police officer posing as a 15-year-old girl. If convicted, Studer could be sentenced to more than 100 years in prison.
