Shopko to Close All Locations by Mid-June

Shopko announced yesterday that they will be closing all of their stores by mid-June. The company stated that they were unable to find a buyer, and will begin the liquidation process this week. Shopko CEO Russ Steinhorst released a statement which read, “This is not the outcome that we had hoped for when we started our restructuring efforts. We want to thank all of our teammates for their hard work and dedication during their time at Shopko.” This is the end result of a long line of store closures, including 70% of their stores in February in an attempt to work through bankruptcy.
