The third straight year in the N-C-A-A Division One Women’s Basketball Tournament finds Marquette seeded number-five with a first-round game Friday. The Golden Eagles bring a 26-7 record into their contest against the Rice Owls in College Station, Texas. Rice is seeded 12th. The number-five seed is a tie for the highest achieved in the Marquette program’s history. If the Eagles win Friday, they will take on the Texas A&M-Wright State winner.
