The Wisconsin Department of Transportation Northeast Region will be holding a public construction update meeting to discuss the reconstruction of Waldo Boulevard. It’ll be held next Tuesday, March 26th from 5 to 7 p.m. in council chambers at Manitowoc City Hall.
The project will be done in two separate phases. The first part will take place from April to November with reconstruction occurring from 14th street to Maritime Drive. It includes new roadway pavement—the replacement of water main—sanitary and storm sewer and sidewalks along with a new roundabout at the Waldo Blvd-Maritime Drive intersection. The second phase in 2020 will take place on Waldo from County Road R to 14th Street. Road closures and detours will take place. The project Coordinator and State Department of Transportation Staff will review project details—discuss construction staging and traffic impacts.
