Multiple Knives and Meth Found During Econo Lodge Arrest

A 35-year-old Manitowoc man is free on $500 recognizance bond after being taken into custody after getting into an argument with his girlfriend. Jonathan A. Brooks is charged with Disorderly Conduct-Domestic Violence Order and Misdemeanor Bail Jumping. Police were called to the Econo-Lodge Sunday Afternoon on a report of disorderly conduct. The victim told police that she had been living with Brooks—her boyfriend—for a couple of weeks and said that if she left he threatened to kill her. Multiple knives—drug paraphernalia and methamphetamine were found in the room and Brooks was taken into custody. Conditions of bail are that he have “no contact” with the victim and an initial appearance is scheduled for April 8^th at 2:30.
