A driving instructor in Appleton has been arrested after he allegedly attempted to engage in sexual acts with a student. A 15 year old Fox Valley Lutheran High School student was learning to drive with 74 year old Charles Rodgers through the Tri County Driving School, and while they were on the road, he would make crude remarks and touch her inappropriately. The girl did receive her license, and would receive love letters from Rodgers. The girl reported his actions to the police, who then arranged a meeting with Rodgers under her name. Rodgers was arrested and is now being charged with Attempted Child Enticement, Attempted Sexual Assault, and is being held on a $20,000 cash bond.
