U-S Senator Ron Johnson says it should be up to state lawmakers to decide the policy on wolf populations. The Wisconsin Republican says the decision by the U-S Fish and Wildlife Service to remove protections for gray wolves is a “good idea.” The federal agency says it will let the states and Indian tribes manage the wild packs. Congressman Sean Duffy agrees, saying Wisconsin knows “better than activist judges in Washington” what is best for the eco-system — and Wisconsin farmers should be able to protect their livestock.
