Workers with a Milwaukee sanitation crew were dodging bullets for a few tense moments Tuesday morning. Shots were fired at a garbage truck carrying two city workers at about 9:15 A-M. Nobody was hit, but at least one round entered the cabin of the truck. Investigators don’t know if the shots were directed at one or both of the workers — or if it was just random gunfire from the Milwaukee Park West neighborhood. Police squad cars were patrolling the area and canvassing nearby residents the rest of the day.
