Monday was a record-setter for the cold here in Manitowoc and, a number of other cities around Wisconsin. The National Weather Service indicates our low of -11 F, or -24 Celsius was set early in the day to break the old mark for March 4th of -10, set in 1884, 135 years ago. Some other locations were even more bone chilling: Oshkosh was -14, Antigo -21, and Rhinelander checked in at -24.
