It shouldn’t be a big surprise that people living in Hawaii are pretty happy. The annual Gallup National Health and Well-Being Index puts the island paradise right at the top of all 50 states. Wisconsin is ranked 24th, showing up in the middle of the pack. Gallup polled people on five elements of well-being — career, social financial, community and physical. West Virginia was last. The national score has been falling since 2014.
