Even though the legislative session just began, Representative Paul Tittl of Manitowoc told us they are already making progress. Tittl was on the WCUB Breakfast Club earlier this week and told us they put together a middle-class tax cut.
While that may not seem like much, Tittl explains what happened.
The measure was passed with bi-partisan support, meaning both Democrats and Republicans agreed on it. The next step is for it to pass the Senate, and then it will land on Governor Tony Evers’ desk. The rumor is that the Governor is going to veto it.
Tittl disagrees with this plan, saying he doesn’t like “raising taxes on a person to cut the taxes on another person. Especially when we have the surplus.”
