
Manitowoc Lincoln was plagued by poor shooting last night in its FRCC home game at the JFK Fieldhouse. The Ships were defeated by De Pere 56-42, to snap a 3-game winning streak in their regular season finale. Lincoln was only able to convert 36-percent of its’ shots, including 2 of 8 from long-range. Meanwhile, the Redbirds connected on 47% of their fieldgoal attempts in improving to 14-and-8 overall. 6-7, 250 pound center Brad Nies scored a game high 21-points, while teammate Will Dehn added 13. Mason Dopirak was held to 17-points for the Ships, who drop to 6-and-16, 4-and-14 in league. Lincoln was leading 35-32 in the 2nd half, before De Pere closed-the-game on a 24-7 run over the final 9-minutes.Manitowoc will open WIAA ‘Regional’ play next Tuesday night @ Sheboygan South.
