Residents from the 10th District in Manitowoc are starting to wonder who is representing them at Manitowoc City Meetings. Alderperson Rhienna Gabriel has not attended the last 3 Manitowoc Common Council Meetings. A check of City records indicates; Gabriel last attended the November 19th meeting of the Common Council. Seehafer News has tried to contact Gabriel about the absences with no reply. On May 21st of 2018, the Manitowoc Common Council voted to Censure Alderperson Rhienna Gabriel for inappropriate conduct. The resolution dissolved Gabriel of voting rights on committees yet did not remove her from the council. It’s important to note; there is no requirement for an elected Alderperson to attend any meeting during their term. Rhienna Gabriel has filed papers for re-election to represent Citizens in Manitowoc’s District 10, she is facing opposition from Bruce Jacobs in the April 2nd General Election.
