Manitowoc Sophomore Loses First Match at State Wrestling Tournament

Manitowoc Lincoln Sophomore Demario Ford lost his first-round match this afternoon At the WIAA State Individual wrestling tournament in Madison. Ford lost to Defending State champion Hayden Halter of Waterford 6 to 1 in the Division One bracket at 120 Pounds. Demario—now 32 and 9—must have Halter win his next match to earn a wrestle back or he’ll be eliminated. Division 2 and 3 preliminaries involving several local and area wrestlers begin at 7 tonight.
