Area Wrestlers Look to Bring Home Gold at State

The 76^th WIAA State Individual Wrestling Tournament gets underway this afternoon at the Kohl Center. Division-1 Preliminaries start the competition at 3:00 o’clock, followed by Quarterfinals. Prelims for Division-2 and 3 wrestlers are at 7:00.  Fourteen competitors from the Lakeshore area & Manitowoc County will be out to bring home some hardware from Madison.  Reedsville leads area teams with 5 wrestlers at State, followed by Two Rivers & Mishicot with 3-apiece. A reminder that veteran WIAA Wrestling reporter Terry Stake will have a series of reports on local & area athletes, starting at 4:30 this afternoon.
