A 26-year-old Two Rivers man is facing sexual assault charges in Sheboygan County after he pressured a resident at a sober living facility to have sex with him. Andrew David Schmaling worked at the facility and offered to give one of the residents a ride on February 12th. Instead of taking her there, he pulled over and threatened to kick her out of the facility and have her child taken away if she didn’t have sex with him. He allegedly told her that no one would believe her if she told anyone because she was just a “junkie”, and he was an active law enforcement recruit at LTC. Schmaling is facing a charge of 2nd Degree Sexual Assault, which could land him 40 years in prison and up to $100,000 in fines if convicted.
