Victim Identified in Suamico Shooting

The identity of the victim in yesterday morning’s shooting in Suamico has been released. 34-year-old Brook Fontaine, a native of Suamico was reportedly staying with her parent’s home, when 28-year-old Milwaukee Native Sebastian Dershon Royal, the father of her 14-month-old child, allegedly began to shoot into the home. The two had been in a custody dispute in Outagamie County, which may have led to the incident. Royal was broadcasting live on Facebook just before the shooting, where he left an apology and told his son he was going to do “what was fair.” He then reportedly shot Fontaine in the head through a window, before taking his own life. Fontaine died from her injuries at a hospital at around 7:00 AM. Fontaine’s parents and children who were also in the home are safe, as the investigation continues.
