Neenah police have arrested a 33-year-old man who threatened to shoot officers while he was involved in a standoff that lasted several hours. The incident started when Daniel J. Maher threatened another person in his home shortly before midnight Wednesday. The intoxicated suspect barricaded himself in the home and told officers he was armed, threatening to shoot them if they came in. A SWAT team breached the front door Thursday morning and Maher surrendered. No injuries were reported.
