According to Manitowoc Public School District Superintendent Marc Holzman, Manitowoc Schools have missed five days due to inclement weather since the end of January. Holzman was on the WCUB Breakfast Club yesterday, and had nothing but praise for those who worked to keep the roads and sidewalks safe.
As we reported when Two Rivers School’s Superintendent Lisa Quisdorf was with us, the state has adjusted the mandatory time students are required to be in school from a certain number of days to a specific number of hours. Holzman expanded on that.
Holzman says the district has a plan to make up those hours missed, including the additional two days students missed at Lincoln High School due to the ceiling collapse back in September.
The Superintendent told us that they have enough hours built in for the Elementary schools that they will not have to add any additional days.
