Senator Andre Jacque is one of three legislators who co-authored a bill which calls for the sale of vaping products to minors to be outlawed. Under current law children under the age of 18 are allowed to purchasing vaping supplies, which includes vapes and other electronic vaping devices. Vaping has become a popular but dangerous pastime among young people across the United States so much so that the FDA has declared youth vaping an epidemic. Police departments across Wisconsin are currently struggling with the teen vaping issue because most time it is impossible to tell whether or not there is actual tobacco in a vaping device. The bill has the endorsement of the WI Police Chiefs Association.
