The heavy snow the lakeshore received ended up landing two men in jail. An officer was driving on Hamilton Street at around 1:40 this morning, when he spotted a vehicle disabled in a snow bank. The men were acting suspiciously according to officer reports, so after they were able to free the vehicle, the officers asked the men to exit the vehicle. A baggie containing a “white substance” was spotted in the vehicle, and a search uncovered a wooden smoking device, and Methamphetamine. The driver, a 27 year old man, was charged with possession of methamphetamine, while the 21 year old passenger was charged with possession of Methamphetamine, and Drug Paraphernalia, as well as two counts of felony bail jumping.
