A student at Manitowoc Lincoln High School was arrested yesterday (Monday) morning after a handgun was found in his vehicle. Officers and K9 units were sent to the school to perform a random search when both K9 Major and K9 Niko called out a hit on a vehicle in the student parking lot. The 17-year-old student that drove the vehicle consented to a search, which uncovered an unloaded handgun in the glove box, right next to a loaded magazine. The search also uncovered several baggies which contained a small amount of marijuana. The teen was arrested on charges of Possession of a Firearm on School Grounds, and Possession of Drug Paraphernalia.
