A group of local and area tradesmen are helping a Reedsville family with an interior remodeling project to make it handicap accessible. Jacob Glasow is a young man who has A-L-S (Lou Gehrig’s Disease) and he and his wife, Sheena, have five children. Bartow Builders and a number of trade partners performed services at “no cost” to the family. Seehafer News spoke at the scene with the Project Manager, Scott Elliott, about their work.
They also installed new cabinets in the two-story home. Elliott said all the trade partners donated either their time or materials to the Jacob Glasow Project.
Elliott described it as a special feeling to be working on this.
The Glasow’s were not at home when we stopped by for the interview Monday but, Elliott told us they are “so thankful.”
Along with Bartow Builders, others assisting the family include Schnell Electric, Smokey Barbier Heating, Maritime Plumbing, Prestige Cabinets, Bay Area Granite, Braun Building Center, Etched in Stone, Manitowoc Disposal, and B and M Waste Service. They just started their 3rd week at the worksite and crews expect to be finished by the end of this week.
