Sophie Shirley put the Wisconsin women’s hockey team on the scoreboard 75 seconds into the action and the Badgers never gave up the momentum in LaBahn Arena Sunday. The 4-1 win over Minnesota State kept the Badgers in first place in the W-C-H-A over Minnesota by two points. Shirley scored a pair of goals and the freshman got scoring help from Alexis Mauermann and Britta Curl. Juniors Sam Cogan and Abby Roque both reached the 100-point career milestone over the weekend.
