Shopko Announces Next Wave of Closures

Shopko has announced the stores affected by their next wave of closures. Stores in Howard, De Pere, Kewaunee, Brillion, Kiel, and Sheboygan are among the 251 total locations that are locking up. The massive scale back is an attempt for the Ashwaubenon based retailer to reorganize and recover from bankruptcy. 70% of Shopko stores will be affected in total from this restructuring process, with only around 110 total stores remaining open. Locally, the stores remaining open include the Northland Avenue location in Appleton, Oshkosh, Fond du Lac, Green Bay, and Clintonville.
