This week has given Manitowoc County the full Wisconsin winter treatment, with a snowstorm on Monday, and frigid temps the rest of the week. Manitowoc County Emergency Services Director Travis Waack said that despite the nasty weather, there weren’t any major injuries cold related injuries. However…
Seehafer News asked Waack how his team at the dispatch center dealt with the influx of calls.
The Senior Centers in Manitowoc and Two Rivers were utilized as warming centers, but Waack says they weren’t used much.
Even though they weren’t used very much, Waack said that it was still important to have them available. He also said that everyone is ready for the warm up that is expected this weekend, with temps forecast to potentially reach the lower 40s.
