
Treehouse Theater has announced the return of The Wisconsin Singers to the lakeshore. The Wisconsin Singers are UW-Madison’s only performing arts group that is touring the state to present their 51st season show, “Nothing’s Gonna Stop Us Now!” This is an all ages show with captivating vocals, Broadway-level choreography, big band sound, clever humor, and the Badger spirit.
This year’s Wisconsin Singers troupe includes Manitowoc Lincoln High School alumni, Julie Rohrer, as one of the 17 singer/dancers plus, a large group of Treehouse Theater student actors will open the show with highlights from their three most recent musical productions.
Their 90-minute revue features over 60 hits from the past five decades, ranging from the legendary Frank Sinatra and Elton John to current icons Justin Timberlake and Charlie Puth. The Wisconsin Singers also includes a ten-piece band that will rock the house with a huge musical range of classics, funky, swing, and their special version of Stevie Wonder’s Superstition.
The Wisconsin Singers: “Nothing’s Gonna Stop Us Now!” will perform at the Capitol Civic Centre on Sunday, Feb. 24, for a 3:00 pm matinee performance.
Tickets are $24 for adults (ages 18+) and $12 for students and can be purchased at the Capitol Civic Centre BOX OFFICE (913 S. 8th St), online at www.cccshows.org or at the door on the day of the show.
