Man Who Died After Falling Through Ice Identified

The Fond du Lac County Sheriff’s Office reports the 55-year-old man who died when his A-T-V fell through the ice on Lake Winnebago was the owner of a local funeral home.  The accident which left Peter A. Zacherl dead happened Monday evening near the Fond du Lac River.  Zacherl was part of a group of A-T-V riders when two of the machines went into the water.  His son tried to rescue him unsuccessfully.
