Firefighters Ask People To Dig Out Fire Hydrants

It’s something to keep in mind every winter, clear the area around your neighborhood fire hydrant.  Racine firefighters are the latest to make the request Monday.  They say it costs precious minutes for firefighters to have to shovel the snow from in front of the hydrant.  Firefighters say if you could dig a three-foot ring around the hydrant while you shovel your walk or driveway, that’d be great.
