We have just received word that there was an accident involving a bus in Manitowoc. A witness to the incident told us that a bus was attempting to make a turn at the intersection of Franklin and South 26th Streets, but continued to slide forward. The bus reportedly struck a power pole. We are working on getting more information on the incident.

We have received an update on the accident that occurred earlier today involving the Manitowoc City bus. The Manitowoc Police Department confirmed that the accident did occur at the intersection of Franklin and South 26th Streets, and that the bus struck a utility pole. Damage was minor, with the bike rack on the front of the bus taking the brunt of it. There were no power outages, or traffic delays due to the incident, which was cleared shortly after it happened.
