Authorities are identifying the man found dead in a corn field Thursday in Marshall. The Dane County Medical Examiner’s Office says it was the body of 47-year-old Kurt Meyer of Cottage Grove. The M-E said the autopsy did not disclose any evidence of “external inflicted life-threatening trauma” to Meyer. Additional tests are being done to determine the official cause and manner of death. Meyer had been reported missing and Cottage Grove police were searching for him.
