A single vehicle accident in Kohler late Friday evening resulted in the death of two people, while two others were injured. According to the Kohler Police Department, the vehicle was traveling South on a slippery I-43, when the unnamed driver lost control and entered a ditch. The vehicle struck a tree, which ended up killing 20-year old Shawnie Silas-Grode ofGreen Bay and 58-year old Heidi Martiny of Forestville. The driver and the other unnamed passenger both received undisclosed injuries from the accident as well. No other information is being released at this time, but we were told by a representative of the Kohler Police Department that the investigation remains ongoing, and more information should be released later this week. Other agencies assisting at the scene were the Sheboygan County Sheriff’s Department-including their accident reconstruction team, Sheboygan Falls Police & Fire and the Sheboygan County Medical Examiner’s Office.
