A local landscaping expert said yesterday morning that “winter can be a strange animal around here, and it has been this year.” Jerry Haupt from Lakeland Landscape made an appearance on the WOMT 1240 AM’s morning show “Welcome Home with Brandon Bartow” where he talked about the impact of a rather snowless winter on plants.
But, Haupt added “…we won’t know until we see what happens over the next 8-weeks.” He referred to the April 17th, 2018, snowfall of 12 to 13 inches here in the Manitowoc-Two Rivers area. Haupt also mentioned that if people are considering a landscaping project in 2019 the time for planning is now.
