The 29 year old told police that he needed a vehicle to take care of what he termed “parental responsibilities”, but his had been rear-ended. He said he still had a key from when he used the vehicle over the summer for work related business. The man has been charged with operating without the owner’s consent, as well as felony theft and bail jumping.
