Jake Patterson, the individual responsible for the kidnapping for 13 year old Jayme Closs, and murder of 56 year old James, and 46 year old Denise Closs has had his bail set at $5 million. His bail was set during his initial appearance yesterday afternoon, where Patterson showed little emotion during the proceedings. Patterson was not physically in the courtroom, but he was shown on TV as he sat in the Barron County Jail. He allegedly targeted the teen after he saw her enter a school bus while on his way to work. Waves of monetary and prayer filled support have been flooding Closs and her family as she continues to recover from her horrific ordeal.
