As we continue to push into 2019, people all over are attempting to keep their resolutions. Most of which probably involve losing some weight. Jim Temmer from the Better Business Bureau recently spoke about so-called “miracle weight loss pills”. While you see these pills on TV, more and more places are using social media.
Because it looks so promising, and they say that you can try it for free, many people will bite. However, they will then ask you for your credit card information.
Temmer told us that the BBB has received over 45,000 complaints regarding this type of scam over the past two years, and the amount of money lost is astronomical.
That being said, there are some places that offer legitimate free trials. Temmer says the best way to tell if the offer is legit is to search the website for the details regarding the offer. If you cannot find them, chances are the offer is bogus.
