Dancers of Manitowoc and Denmark’s Kaleidoscope Dance Studio held their annual ‘Tis the Season Holiday recital on December 8, at Roncalli High School. This year the groups donated proceeds from the show, including ticket and raffle sales totaling $8,000, to the Alzheimer’s Association Greater Wisconsin Chapter.
For the past five years, all proceeds from Kaleidoscope’s annual recital, have been donated to a local non-profit organization which has allowed the studio to give back nearly $40,000 to organizations in their community since 2014.
The Alzheimer’s Association is the leading voluntary health organization in Alzheimer’s disease care, support, and research. They provide services to those affected by Alzheimer’s, advocate for policy change and scientific funding, and advance research toward prevention, treatment, and ultimately a cure. More than 5 million Americans are living with Alzheimer’s disease, the sixth-leading cause of death in the U.S. and the only disease among the top 10 causes that cannot be cured, prevented or even slowed.
