
A 59 year old Two Rivers man was arrested along with a family member late Friday night after officers were sent to a southside residence for the report of a suicidal male. While Police were attempting to negotiate with the male to exit the residence, a shot was fired within the dwelling. Meanwhile, some members of the suspect’s family, who were outside became uncooperative during the investigation and were taken into custody. Two Rivers Police, Manitowoc County Sheriff’s deputies and a Manitowoc County SOS unit set up a perimeter and began negotiating with the troubled suspect. He eventually complied and exited the residence without further incident. Lieutenant Aaron Gauthier said the 59 year old suspect was transported to the Manitowoc County Jail where he was booked on charges of First Degree Recklessly Endangering Safety & Endangering Safety by Use of a Dangerous Weapon. A 38 year old Two Rivers man was also taken to the county jail on a charge of Resisting/Obstructing an Officer. In addition, a 42-year old Two Rivers woman Will also have Resisting/Obstructing charges against her referred to the Manitowoc County District Attorney’s Office. No on was injured as a result of the shot being fire and roads were temporarily closed in the area to assist police officers.
