The Manitowoc County Coroner’s Office has identified the Green Bay man killed in a single-vehicle accident Wednesday night near Devils River in the Town of Cooperstown. Deputy Coroner Kendall Behnke says 22-year-old Diontai Hamilton was a front seat passenger in a vehicle driven by 19-year-old Miranda Leigh Fuller also of Green Bay. They were traveling northbound on I-43 about 9:30 pm when Fuller lost control, crossed the median descending down a steep embankment and overturned before coming to rest on its wheels just short of the river. Hamilton was pronounced dead at the scene. Fuller was transported to Aurora Bay Care in Green Bay for treatment of non-life-threatening injuries while an eight-month-old infant was also transported to Aurora Bay Care in Green Bay for possible injuries. Both adults were wearing seatbelts while the infant was properly secured in a rear-facing child-restraint system. The accident remains under investigation by the Manitowoc County Sheriff’s Department and the State Patrol.
