The City of Manitowoc is getting tough on the violators of the snow shoveling ordinance within the city. Those who fail to shovel the snow on the sidewalks within their property lines that are reported to the city will no longer be sent a written warning. Property owners must have the snow removed within 24 hours of the end of the storm, or they will receive a fine. The fines are as follows; $300 for the first offense, a minimum of $600 for the second offense, and a minimum of $900 for the third offense over a three year period.
