In support of “Act Two,” the Capitol Civic Centre’s campaign to renovate facilities, Seehafer Broadcasting has pledged $50,000.00. This support brings the campaign within 93 percent of their $2.8 million goal.
Support for the Capitol’s “Act Two” renovation continues, with more than 225 donations to date. Monies raised in excess of projects costs will provide continued, support, via allocations to the Capitol Civic Centre’s endowment (ensuring long-term growth and stability while providing an annual allocation to operations).
Act Two improvements (presently underway) will prepare the Capitol for its next 100 years, with renovated and expanded lobbies and concessions, improved restroom accommodations (located on two floors), better theatre access, enhanced theatre lighting and sound, and much more! Additionally, brand-new seating (wider, more comfortable, and a layout with more legroom) will complete the vision in summer of 2019.
For individuals who want to get involved, “The Best Seat in the House,” offers an opportunity to play a role in the Capitol’s future, while naming a seat for an individual, a family, or in honor- or memory-of a loved-one. Truly, this is the perfect means to support this invaluable community asset while placing a lasting namesake within the beautiful West Auditorium.
Work on renovations officially kicked-off on Aug. 13, with contractors beginning plumbing rough-in for expanded second-floor restrooms and concessions, demolition and framing for expanded lobbies and a permanent first-floor bar, elevator and access preparation, infrastructure upgrades, and more.
