Christmas is just around the corner…with New Year’s less than 2-weeks away. With those celebrations come Holiday parties. Holy Family Memorial Nurse Practitioner, Jenna Rathsack, said her advice is to have a small meal at home before you go out, to limit yourself from those tempting treats.
But, if you do want to snack…Rathsack cautions.
Rathsack also has some guidelines with respect to portion sizes when you ‘are’ hungry.
The HFM Nurse Practitioner said any meat, should also be the size of your palm. A good suggestion to avoid over-eating at parties is to drink a big glass of water 15-minutes before you eat.
