14 Rescued From Ice On Bay Of Green Bay

Brown County authorities say 14 people were rescued this (Tuesday) from the ice on the Bay of Green Bay. Officials say rescue crews responded to Volk’s Landing off Edgewater Beach Road in the Town of Scott. Brown County’s airboat was deployed to rescue the fishermen from the ice. No injuries were reported. The next step is to remove the equipment and shanties from the ice. The Brown County Sheriff’s Office says the fishermen will not face any fines or tickets. The county does not have an ordinance in place when it comes to ice rescues.
