The administrator at the Shawano County Jail has been quoted as saying there is more technology in your cell phone than there is in his facility. The jail was built 24 years ago and has a real need for upgrades not seen since the installation of Windows 2000. It could be forced to shut down. Administrator Greg Trinko says it’s hard to make repairs because the equipment is so old parts are not available. Fixing the problems would cost an estimated three-and-a-half-million dollars.
