OWI Related Arrests and Crashes Up in Sheboygan

According to the Sheboygan Police Department, the number of OWI related arrests and crashes in the city have risen recently. This month alone there have been 8 OWI arrests, with six of them happening this past weekend. There are currently more police on patrol searching for such drivers as a part of the “Drive Sober or Get Pulled Over” campaign, which may have played a part in the jump. The SPD is reminding people that driving under the influence of drugs or alcohol is not safe, especially with more people hitting the road around Christmas time.  Always have a plan on how to get home safe, whether it be a designated driver, a cab, or simply walking if you live close enough.
