A woman was robbed at knifepoint in Kewaunee County last night when she stopped to offer assistance to a person who she thought was having car-trouble along a county road. Kewaunee County Sheriff Matt Joski said the incident occurred about 8:15 pm on County Highway C, near County A in the Town of Casco. The victim told sheriff’s investigators she was southbound on C when she observed a vehicle stopped in the northbound lane of travel. The motorist stopped to see if the driver needed help but was confronted by a tall, white male subject in his early 20’s. The suspect approached her with a knife demanding that she turn over her money. The victim complied and gave the male her purse containing cash and credit cards. He was wearing a black jacket and black ski mask and is still being sought by authorities. The robber’s vehicle was said to be a dark colored full-sized pickup truck with no cap and was last seen traveling northbound on C. Sheriff Joski says the incident remains under investigation and anyone with information is asked to contact the Kewaunee County Sheriff’s Department at 920-388-7108.
