The founder of Spirit Horse Equine Rescue says she has a hard time saying “no” when her help is requested. Deedee Golberg has until April to find new homes for more than 20 horses on her property in the Town of Janesville. Golberg rehabilitates horses with disabilities. An anonymous complaint led the town board to tell her to reduce the number of horses she keeps. She says it’s going to be hard to do that because horse rescue operations across the country are mostly full.
