Attempted Robbery In Two Rivers

A male suspect is in the County Jail for an attempted robbery this afternoon in Two Rivers. Two Rivers Police Lt. Ben Meinnert tells Seehafer News that at approximately noon officers were dispatched to Berserkers tavern in the 1800 block of South 19^th Street where a bartender was distracted inside during which time the suspect stole a large quantity of money. Officers converged on the area, setting up a perimeter where he was taken into custody without incident. All money was accounted for and returned to the tavern. Charges are forthcoming. The suspect was also wanted on outstanding warrants and drug charges.
